This jar opener has been amazing. I have a hard time opening jars and it works perfectly. I also like the it goes under my top kitchen cabinets instead of having more things on the my counter or in a drawer.
Amy –
I struggle to open any jar because I have pain when I hold the jar with my left hand while trying to twist the lid with my right hand. This gadget solves the problem altogether because I can slid it into the gripping angle and use both hands to twist off the lid! A lifesaver when no one else is in the kitchen with me while I’m cooking. Wish I had discovered it long ago. The price point was reasonable too. It was simple to install too.

I just had carpal tunnel surgery on my right (dominant) hand and I’m SO glad I bought and installed this beforehand! Wasn’t sure if it would be that helpful but I was so wrong! It’s very helpful and easy to use with my left (non dominant) hand. Soda bottles, juice bottles, spaghetti sauce jars, it doesn’t matter it works on everything I’ve tried. Great product in my opinion.

Easy to install. Used screws to attach to cupboard to give more stability …works as advertised. makes it real easy to open jars. Much easier than using silicone rubber band method to open jars.
Garner –
I just used the stock attachment that came with it. No screws were used. I installed it easily. I cannot see it under the cabinet so it is nice and discreet. Opening jars is a breeze now!
J. –
Very easy to install and it does what is suppose to do. It came with 2 long Phillips heads screws, and 1 short. Decide on an install location. Remove the adhesive strip, stick, I used a drill with screwdriver bit ( for speed) I was done in less then 2 minutes. It took longer figuring out where I wanted to put it. Every house needs one.

I have it hidden under the cabinet so you dont even know it’s there, and it works! My wife has been having trouble opening jars lately because of arthritis, tis has help her tremendously, there are a few jars that I still have to open for her but for the most part, she’s able to open them using this Jar Opener

After tiring of opening jars for my spouse, I sprung for one of these. After reading reviews on this brand, I decided to go for it. OMG it’s easy to use and hidden under the cabinet. The reviews complaints are mostly about installation and they’re not “wrong” per se. Don’t bother installing with adhesive, suck it up and use the screws and indeed I recommend drilling pilot holes if you know how to do that. If not, hire a handyman. Yeah sure it “damages” the cabinet but it’s the invisible underside, and if you care, just fill screw holes – under a cabinet you don’t need to match colors.See photos.

I like the idea of the twin stick on cabinet side and the metal teeth to grip the lid! My grip is not what it used to be
Joseph L. Zednick –
Can’t beat this product it works very well. Place it under a cabinet in the corner works the best. No need to drill screws, I used the sticky pad and it’s been holding on. Clean the underside of the cabinet first with alcohol. My wife has opened various size bottles from as small as a soft drink to a large jar,,no problems. She doesn’t have to go looking for me to open stuff anymore.

If there is a better way to make your life in the kitchen easier, I don’t know what it is. I have owned one of these for years and recently moved into a new house. It is literally the first thing I ordered. As I get older and finding it harder and harder to takelids off of jars and bottles. This thing is so easy, I don’t know why houses aren’t built with them standard. It is so easy to install, it literally took me less than three minutes. I had my other one one more than 10 years, and the grip team never wore out. It’s extremely durable and versatile for most sizes of jars. For the money, you can’t make a better investment to avoid frustration in the kitchen.

Better then expected it’s perfect so far

A rubber gripping pad was fine for jar lids until I began buying sauerkraut in two-pound jars. Lids were so tight that I used a strap wrench. The jar was too big for a good grip with one hand, and a slip could have caused a bad gash from broken glass.I mounted my opener on a post so I could see exactly what I was doing when I used it. With a jar horizontal, unscrewing a lid could allow leakage, but all I have to do is get the lid to budge. To prevent the saw teeth from leaving a jagged lid, I put a strip of inner-tube rubber over the teeth and used super glue to secure the ends. Left to cure overnight, this glue can hold rubber very well.I held it with both hands to loosen the lid. It was easy!

Game changer for opening jars and bottles. My only concern is there is no safety plastic on the very sharp teeth. While trying to position it several times nearly punctured fingers. Otherwise easy to install with using just the adhesive; may install screws. Would buy again.
NiNa R. –
I’m horrible with opening jars lol but now that I have a jar opener I don’t have to bug anyone in my home for help ?? Super easy to install & it’s holding up pretty good! Would recommend!!

Fits all sizes of jar lids. Even opens plastic bottle caps. If you have arthritis or tendinitis this is such a helpful gadget. Plus it’s out of site by mounting ( very easy) under my cabinet. I bought one for my sister and my neighbor bought one for her home as well!
J Faust –
It will chew up a plastic cap/lid so I found putting a pc of cloth over the lid fixes that issue. I’m happy with it. Now to see how long it lasts.
marie –
I open bottle caps and small jars. However I did not like the presentation, as it looked cheap and doubted that it would do the job, so I had it seating on a shelf to return it, until Husband set up for me. And the “I LOVED IT”.
Tony S. –
Perfect! Excellent product.

I had a collection of three other lid removers, and wasn’t happy with any of them. I couldn’t get some lids off using maximum force. When I saw this jar opener, I knew instantly why it would work much better that any of my old collection. The reason is leverage — with the Grip Opener mounted under my kitchen cabinet, I use two hands to twist the jar, instead of matching one hand’s twist against the other. Twice the grip-power!One more thing: these are made in the USA. None of that imported junk.

I bought this so I could open jars, bottles since I broke my wrist. It’s been a big help and I will certainly use it when my wrist is back to normal.
Catherine A. Hechmer –
A life saver for bad grip carpal tunnel. Easy to install, didn’t need to use screws.

To open jars and bottles in my kitchen!

I am a senior and I have been struggling with opening lids off glass jars, water bottles, and plastic jars…often times spilling contents onto counter as I wrestle to get leverage with my hand held adaptive jar opener….This one is a game changer, hardly takes any strength to easily open jars, I couldnt believe what a difference it made for me…. I installed it underneath my cabinet. Since there is a piece of trim around the cabinet you can’t see it unless you are looking for it!………..and made in America!! You can’t get anything better than that!!

OMG! I am 73, still working as a Court Reporter, and I suffer from Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. I have minimal-to-no grip strength. This is absolutely the BEST appliance I have ever purchased to open any sized jars and bottles, and it works in 2 seconds…place, twist, open!! I always think, “Oh, this won’t work on this bottle/jar,” and I am dumbfounded when it works so easily and quickly, on any type of lid, metal or plastic. I HIGHLY recommend this product, and the price is very reasonable! If you suffer from arthritis or any other type of wrist pain, get this now!
Anne H –
This product is the best! I have been about to return to the grocery store for help to get some of my jars & bottles open! The jar opener works on my toughest challenge: the large jar of applesauce with the bonded plastic top. It’s counter intuitive to me that you turn the jar clockwise, but it works like a charm. Mine is installed with just the adhesive panel. I don’t have indented undersides to my cupboards, but it barely shows.

I recently had surgery for my broken arm and wrist making it difficult to open any jar or containers with a lid until I got this jar opener. It is perfect
Linda Rodick –
I have arthritis in my hands and this jar opener is awesome. It has adhesive on it to hold it up under your kitchen upper cabinets while you put the screws in it. Very easy to install. Put it in a place where there is plenty of room for you to open small or large jars. I also use to open water bottles. It makes my life in the kitchen preparing meals so much easier. Would highly recommend.

I originally bought this for my mother with RA. It was easy to install under the cabinet. It comes with screws or sticky adhesive. I have you used both and both work well. It opens every thing from water bottles to large pickle jars. It was so convenient I bought 2 more for myself and my in-laws. Great gift for anyone.

In 1986 we received the original one from a close friend that lives in Tulsa for a house warming. A little over 6 months ago we sold your home and forgot to take your product with us. So happy you are still in business can’t live without it.Rob Harris Goodyear AZ.

This is the third one I’ve purchased! Was recommended by my hand surgeon to save the wear and tear on my hands. Absolutely love this opener; use it for my maple syrup bottle and my peanut butter jar! Game changer for me! Bought 2 for the grandparents too. Installs easy and stays put. Wish I had this years ago!
Kimberly Walston –
Past deployments I have cried over jars that I cannot get open. This helps! I love the sticker mount option for under the cabinet.
Ngtskylvr –
It’s quite secure… my husband used the screws provided to attach as we felt it would be more secure and it is. Very happy to finally have this device!!
Dee –
I’ve had this product for a few weeks and almost forgot I had it..I’ve only used it twice but it works as advertised. I was trying to find another jar to open to do a quick video but no luck, however, I definitely recommend.
faye yother –
This is so much better than I expected. In the video I did, you can see that I opened the bottle with one hand. Major plus for me. It’s so easy to use. I hate the wrench like utensil that has been so popular. I have a muscle disease and I can’t hold the jar and twist that too. It slips and rarely opens anything. This is also very easy to install. My husband had it ready in just a minute. The material is plastic. It seems tough and will probably hold up a long time. But you never know.

I couldn’t decide to get this type of jar opener or the one where you hold in your hand and squeeze to open.I figured if I needed help to open a jar then squeezing would not be the best option.Ordered this one, it was shipped promptly.Very simple to install, I didnt use the adhesive as it wasn’t needed for my install.Comes with 3 screws that fit perfect and do not encroach into the cabinet.I recommend a power screwdriver and the install takes a minute.Sample where you want to place. (not to close to the edge and not too far back.Mark the holes, and do a starter hole at each site. Then place the device so holes match up and install each screw.Very solid.
MaryAnne –
Used it twice on different sizes and it worked well. It was easy peel adhesive and apply. What I like most is that it can’t be seen unless you bend down to look under cabinet.

You would expect a tool like this to have metal saw-like teeth on both sides of the “V” but instead, one side is smooth plastic. Yet it works beautifully to open jars. The smooth side wedges the lid in place against the metal teeth by friction. Many years ago I was using large (5 or 6″ diameter) round rubber discs to grip and open stubborn jar lids. That seemed to be the only way to do it at the time. In later years I found that to be a difficult way to open a jar and sometimes it failed.I like this opener because it mounts securely to the underside of a cabinet. It won’t get lost in a drawer. It’s easy to use because you’re turning the jar, not the lid, and there’s no slippage. This opener has never failed to open jars I couldn’t budge using just my hands. As I gradually lose strength with age, I’ll be relying on this more and more. I believe it’s well designed and durable, so I think it will last a very long time.
Pebbles Marie –
Easy to install and use. Worth every penny, I no longer have to ask others to open jars that are too difficult to open. A must for people wholives alone
lhoney –
Was wondering if the sticky tape would be strong enough to hold against big jars.I have opened several so far and am amazed the lids just pop off like nothing!
E Y Acosta –
Finally-something that works better than expected. Easy to mount. Easy to use. Grips any type of lid. Saves this grandma from crying!
Maverick7 –
I bought this thinking I would have to immediately drill into the cabinet in order for it to hold a secure position when opening jars. I was wrong! The adhesive is perfect (so far) and holds everything in place so opening jars is a cinch 🙂
Cathee –
I have arthritis in some of my fingers and am unable to even open a water bottle without a lot of pain. This gadget is the best thing I’ve ever used!! I have a few of the clamp plier types, but they aren’t comfortable to hold and don’t work well. This under the counter opener is perfect for my needs. Bottles open so very easy now. It’s a miracle for me at our house. Instead of under my counter, I decided to put it in my pantry under a shelf as I am a shorter person so it’s easier to reach for me. I’d definitely recommend this to anyone who wants easy open jars and bottles.
Suzanne –
I can’t believe the number of people who give this a poor review because they can’t figure out which direction to turn their jar. This works SO well! Easy to install–the screws were a perfect length, just pay attention and don’t waste a long screw on the narrow edge–sits firmly under my cabinet top. No damage to jar lids from the teeth, they grip just enough to allow an easy turn. I foresee years of good use with this! So much easier (and cheaper) than my electric one that broke after a year.
Woot –
I like how well it works and the fact that you can’t see it from a standing position but then when you need it it’s in a convenient spot underneath the counter.
